Default 1996 Sebring Convertible A/C

My A/C was working fine and I accidentally pushed the A/C button in and out quickly and the A/C stopped working. I figured that I had blown a fuse or relay. I changed the A/C relay but that did not help. I have checked every fuse in the two fuse compartments in the vehicle. Any ideas on what else it could be?
Thanks.

On a 14-year-old system it could be anything. When you say "stopped working", what exactly stopped? Blower? Compressor?

The blower works, but the light on the button does not illuminate and the air is hot. I'm assuming the compressor is not being activated by the switch.

Could be the clutch, the wiring, low freon charge, bad pressure sensor, compressor dead, bad switch on dash...like I said, could be anything.

For a few bucks, you could dump in a can of R134a and see if it starts, but there's no guarantee it'll do anything. If you have a system leak, it won't be working for long.

I'm pretty sure it's an electrical problem. I know on my Dodge truck there was a fuse for my cigarette outlet that is under the dash and not listed in the owner's manual. I was hoping someone might know if there are other fuses on the Sebring that are also "hidden"
Thanks

There are two fuse panels, one at the left end of the dash, visible when the drivers door is open, and one under the hood. The covers for each panel have a legend underneath stating what the fuses are for. If you have an owners manual, that will also tell you which fuses protect which circuits.
