1996 Sebring JXi 2.5L V6 Convertible Valve Cover Gasket
Hello all, I am new but felt it important to let everyone know I found out the hard way that:
The "FEL-PROVS50461R Permadry Molded Rubber" gaskets sold by almost all vendors for the 1996 Sebring JXi 2.5L V6 are too long by about 1/4".
I highly recommend buying the Mistubishi MD303148
Funny thing was there was only 1 of these gaskets available from all the local Mitsubishi dealers in Northern Twin Cities, we installed the properly sized MD303148 in the back valve cover . We got the Fel-pro to fit well in the front valve cover by using a toaster oven, rubber cleaner and super-glue (yes should have used fancy gasket-set RTV junk, but ya know...)
Big shout-out to my friend Ethen! The Schwendyman!
I wish I would have saw this online somewhere before disassembly
They say this gen is 1995 - 2000 or something like that so I don't know about other years or models...
Thanks and good luck!
