1998 electrical gremlins...

I'm new to the forum, and I own a 1998 Sebring coupe with the 2.5L V-6. Lately, its been giving me strange electrical problems. It seems like the entire electrical system will cut off when I shut off the motor, and the car will not start for a few hours afterward. The newer parts are the battery, and the starter. I had the car diagnosed, and, in the presence of the mechanic, nothing went wrong. Three days later, I'm having the same issue. Before I start throwing money at the problem, are there any ideas as to what the problem could be? Thanks in advance.

Once again

Start at the battery, clean and tighten all connections. While you are under the wheel well, clean and tighten the ground connection to the engine just behind the left front tire. Move to the jumper post under the hood, clean and tighten that connection also. See if this helps any. If not do the same at the starter. That way you eliminate any problems created when you did the battery or the starter. Faulty connections are the source of many electrical problems.
