Cool 2.7: Coolant boiling, fans off, Tē gauge in "normal". What happens??. Help!

Hi,

My 2003 2.7 sebring was boiling 3 months ago. Replaced radiator cap and problem finished. Then, 3 weeks starts boiling again. replaced plastic upper water outlet (leaking too) with temperature sensor included ("Dorman" product made in China), and I replaced the failed thermostat too. Problem finished. Yesterday, boiling started again.

Coolant is boiling with temperature gauge at medium position, but fans don't work.

When I connect the air condit. fans work O.K.

When running car with max. heater, coolant don't boils and no problem.

What could be my failure?.

Anny ideas?. Please help. This car is used for my children transportation to school.

Thanks in advance,

Denis V.

Also make sure you have the proper mix of water and antifreeze. Too much water or too much antifreeze will cause it to boil at a lower temperature.

If you have a blown head gasket, it could cause boiling, or if you have installed the thermostat backwards, it could overheat rapidly.
