2001 Chrysler Sebring Engine Problems
Engine misses while idling, especially under load (when the ac is on). When accelerating the engine lags and misses but will eventually smooth out and lurch forward. No codes are generated. From the research I have done, the common problems seem to be fuel pressure, crank sensor, or the distributor. Is one of these problems more common than the other? Really not looking forward to dropping the fuel tank to replace the pump if it is not necessary.

RE: 2001 Chrysler Sebring Engine Problems
I have a v-6 2.5 liter engine with some of the same problems. The only difference was i was getting a error codebank 2 running lean.. My caridles rough, especially with ac on, but ran fine after accelerating. I had my mechanic do everything from distributor, spark plugs, and wires.tested all the fuel injectors and replaced one. oxygen sensor(front).and I still get same error code and have same problem. The mechanic had the car for seven weeks. He couldn.t figure it out. The last thing he thought was the problem, was the computer, which he replaced. It did no good solving the problem. Let me know if you find out what is causing the problem.

different engine dan one is chrsyler built 2.4 and the 2.5 is a mitsu engine. Replaced plugs yet? a 2.4 does not have a dis it has a coil pack, a fuel pump wont do what u say it will do a stall and no start mainly. Does any of this stuff happen with the ac off???
