2004 Sebring 2.7 Cylinder 2 misfire

Hello my wife's car has been having some troubles. For a while it has had the problem where randomly when she is driving home from work after car has had a chance to warm up. She will come up to a stop sign, and out of no where her car will quit. Since it only happened every blue moon, we weren't too worried, but we still kept an eye on it.

Recently, my wife when she was driving home from work she was about halfway home she came to a stop at a stoplight. When she took off from the stoplight it started sputtering like it was getting too much gas, so she gave it more gas to keep it from quitting on her, during so the check engine light was on and blinking. So once she got home we decided to take it to a O'Reily's to get spark plugs since it's been a while since they have been replaced. So I replaced them and my wife drove to work the next week, by the end of the week it had the same problem happen. So once she got home we went to O' Reily's again to use their diagnostic reader, so we would know what the check engine light code was.

The code the was Cylinder 2 misfire, and after talking to the guys their he thought it might be a sticking injector, so he recommended us using some upper cylinder cleaner/lubricant, so I bought Lucas Upper Cylinder Lubricant & Injector Cleaner. So far after putting it in my wife has experienced a couple times when she first starts out driving it will be sputtery and heavy on the gas, but by the end of the drive it will be better.

Is there something else it could be, or something I'm not thinking of? I'd appreciate any help I can get from all you guys!!!

a number 2 misfire will not cause the car to stall U need to have a better scanner hooked up to it to get the real codes.

My first idea was O2 sensor because of how rich the gas to air ratio it was, but there are 4 O2 sensors so I really wasn't interested in throwing money at it, by replacing them all. That's why the diagnostic reader was such a disappointment. Which cylinder is cylinder 2?

Is there any place you would suggest me going to use a better diagnostic reader, besides the dealership? I'd really like to be able to diagnose it so I could do the fixing.

Thanks for the feedback CHRYSLER TECH!

Could having a bad coil pack and boot on cylinder 2 cause this?

Switch 2 coils and see if the misfire changes cylinders. DO NOT disconnect the battery or erase the codes as this will disable the misfire monitor and it won't show anything.

Ok which cylinder is cylinder 2 on a 2.7 V6? So then I can switch the right coil pack?

when looking at the engine the plug that is closes to the front of the engine is #1 the banks will be 1,3,5 and 2,4,6

So it goes 1,3,5 for the row closest to the bumper starting left to right when you standing in from of the car. And the row closest to the firewall goes 2,4,6 starting left to right?

I dunno why I keep getting confused about which cylinder is which, in the front row they all look equal distance to the engine. But, I will check again when I get home tonight.

Thanks for the instructions CHRYSLER TECH!!!

Cylinder 1 is on the REAR bank:

As you stand at the front bumper it looks like this:

1 3 5\

2 4 6/
