2004 Sebring Convertible Water Leaking from rear of the Engine Block

I'm working on a 2004 Chrysler Sebring Convertible 2.7L DOHC 24 Valve. It was leaking water between the transmission and the bell housing meets the engine block. I was told that this was most definitely due to a bad freeze plug.

There is a hole in the engine block and it is not a freeze plug. This is where the water is pouring out. If you look at the picture you can see where I circled the hole. This is where the water is pouring out.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The hole is not for a freeze plug.
