2004 Sebring lost power, now won't start
My wife was at hwy speed when the engine stopped responding. She was able to coast to an off-rampwhere the car maintained idle. After turning the ignition off, the car will not start again. Hooked up the code reader and got MAF, intake air temp, and camshaft position sensor faults. Thinking the only of those that would actually keep the vehicle from starting was the latter, I proceeded to replace the camshaft position sensor and put four new spark plugs in it as well. I have good spark and fuel and the fuel pump sounds completely normal (and IS pumping fuel as I discovered when I opened the line) when the key is turned to the ON position. The car cranks as normal as ever but will not fire. If it would have died completely I would have taken a different approach to diagnosing, but I'm baffled that the engine idled until turned OFF. Any ideas on how to proceed with diagnosing and repairing would be greatly appreciated. By the way, it is a 2.4 DOHC. Thanks.
