RE: 2005 Chyrsler Sebring Horn/Alarm

Hello MissJones,
I am new to this forum but I just had a similar problem with my 06 sebring. I do not have an alarm on my car. Just the regular remote for door locks.
The dealer had to replace the whole airbag assembly in the steering wheel.
It was the horn pad that was bad and sticking and in the process activating the horn. I believe the horn pad is attached to the airbag or can only be ordered when buying a new airbag.
It just started on mine about two weeks ago. The car horn will go off randomly while I am driving or when the car is parked at night. I am not sure if it was weather related since it started to get cooler at nights here.
Anyway, my car was under warranty so they fixed it.
Hopefully yours is too.

I hope this helps.

Hello,YZF600RN is on the right trail. This happens in temp. changes or when there is a lot of moisture. Thespace between the contacts is very close and moisture can make the conection causing the horn to go off, either way you need to get to the dealer and have them check it. Chrysler Tech or Moe may be able to share some light on the subject. May be a TBS out on this matter. Good Luck and God Bless!!
