I am assuming yours is not a coupe. The control head is a known problem. Replacement is an easy DIY project and will cost you less than the diagnostic fee at the dealership, so try that first. It's discussed in several threads here on the forum so search for it. The part was used on all sedans and convertibles and Dodge stratus sedans from 2001 through 2006. A replacement should be easy to find.
If that doesn't do it, you may need to deal with the mode door motor, which is a huge job involving tearing out the whole instrument panel.
