2007 Sebring Touring, timing kit questions

New Member, working on my daughters 2007 Sebring. I believe it has the 2.4L (2360 cc) engine. (engine block casting numbers are 7112, 26606302).170,000 miles on the car, thought it was a good time to do some major work n the old girl. The Timing Chain kit I bought from Napa looks correct... except for one thing. On tthe crankshaft gear the keyway and the timing marks are NOT in the same position??? Also, the Thermostat Housing Kit has smaller diameter heater core nipples (1/2"), the original housing has 5/8" heater core nipples??? anyone out there run into a situation like this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Can anyone confirm that the engine block casting numbers are for a 2007 2360 cc (2.4L) engine?

Thanks for the reply, but its not really a VIN number issue... engine vin code is K, which is simply labeled as a 2.4L. The problem is there are two 2.4L engine... one is 2360 cc's, the other is 2429 cc's. Some Auto parts stores distinguish between the two different cc engines, other parts stores do NOT. IM 99.999% sure its the 2360 cc "2.4L" engine, but the crank shaft timing gear in the new KIT is keyed and marked different than the one that the engine has been running with for the last ten years. Im wondering if someone did an engine swap some time before my daughter purchased the car in 2013. Really looking for a way to decipher the engine block casting numbers.
Thanks again for the reply,
Vic

Take the kit back and exchange it for the other one, see if that is better.
