2008 sebring 2.4l idle speed
Had the plugs changed and the air filter changed at the dealer. (27,000 miles)
Idle is at 800 rpm with the a/c on (max recurlation setting) Is this a noraml idle with this car ? On the old plugs, used to be at about 700 to 750 rpm with the ac on. This increase cause of the new plugs and air filter ? Same plugs were put back in the car ngk's. Idles nice and runs great. Thanks in advance. |
spark plugs dont change the idle speed of a car

Idle speed is controlled by the engine computer. It takes into consideration several factors including A/C load, power steering load, engine temperature and air temperature. As Tech says, plugs don't change it.
