2008 Sebring 2.7l p013a code

had the 02 sensors replaced 3 times 2 times with local mechanic once by dealership... had the cat replaced (downstream one) was wondering if anyone else had this issue

there is a number missing in the OBDII code that you posted this would tell if it is down stream or up stream? and you please repost the code and we can try to help you out.

It’s the downstream sensor the code reads P013A Bank 1 sensor 2

NOT necessarily the sensor, could be a small exhaust leak in a pipe or gasket ahead of the downstream sensor, or even from the EGR tubing. Had a similar code description on our little Kia, and turned out to be a small crack in the exhaust "flex pipe" was the cause. So small that one didn't think sound level was anything but NORMAL and where cracked was covered by a wire mesh! Anything that would let extra oxygen in ahead of the downstream sensor will give that code.
Good Luck!

I did take it to a dealership.... they said I need a new CAT.... (I did have it replaced)!wonder if they did a leak test

I should have said HOW I found the cause.... ANY black exhaust residue outside on pipes that should not have ANY is suspect. I ended up spreading apart the wire mesh where I saw discoloration and found the crack. NEW exhaust pipe and NO MORE CODE. If you are not DIYing, then you need to find a better dealer or shop, that will actually look at the car and not rely on DTC code plug and play parts throwing!

I will ask if they can do that !! Thanks!!!!

Yes, the majority of all code problems diagnostic procedures are supposed to include a GOOD visual of the areas that can relate to a particular code, many times shops(dealers or otherwise) FORGET that!...I know, I worked for a number of independents and dealerships in my younger years. Many times management will not pay or allow techs for that time involved!

P013A code still comes back help me please

They did find a small exhaust leak fixed that but the code still comes back..... I’m about to give up on it

Sorry for the delayed response...been kind of busy here with a P/s leak on my 04 T&C...WINTER cold and snow has not made it any easier to make the repair out in my driveway!...but all is good again now.
Well "they" found a leak in the exhaust...sorry that didn't "do the trick" for you. As I posted before, even some things like EGR system faults(again air leakage) can give that code, it takes some "in depth" testing to find the cause for things like this. As I said, NOT plug and play to turn off a CEL...It is coming on for a reason and fault codes just give an area of the failure. There are many things that must be checked/TESTED for any code to pinpoint the cause to be able to effect a proper repair.
You are not doing the work(and sadly footing a large monetary bill) for people that don't seem to want to follow complete diagnostic procedures....Hang in there, and good luck!
