2008 Starter

Hello,
I just replaced the starter on my 2008 Sebring Hardtop Convertible. I can't recall where this ground is supposed to go. Any help would be appreciated.

Just a SWAG on my part. The size of the bolt hole leads me to believe it may have been attached to one of the starter mounting bolts.

That wire is carrying 14.4v with the engine running; it is directly connected to the alternator output. In addition, I'm only getting 11.5v at the battery with the engine running, which leads me to believe that it is the alternator wire that charges the battery. I just can't find the connection, and it is way too short to directly reach the battery.

I'm stumped.

If anyone has the same problem, that green wire is, in fact, the alternator feed wire that charges the battery. It connects to the positive terminal on the starter and charges the battery. Mine happened to be two separate wires that connect to the positive terminal on the starter, which is why I got confused. On most Sebrings, that green alternator wire is connected to the positive battery wire on a single terminal that then connects to the starter. Problem solved.
