I looked at the ones that mine gave out and unfortunately, it didn't give out the tranny temp once last night when I drove it. I swear it's done it before, though. I remember specifically that it did. Maybe it was a fluke, maybe it just didn't report it last night, I"m not sure. But regardless, it's still worth it to have the app and adapter.

Ahh I see, yea the app and adapter is worth the cheap price, are you sure you downloaded the TorqueScan plug-in for torque from the marketplace?

And I know when I've been looking at it it has 2 different options for the transmission temperature gauges, maybe it's one or the other?

I'll have to look at it. I haven't really played with it as much as I would want to.

I was looking at the app itself, and under settings, loook at "manage extra PID/Settings" or something like that. There was an option for Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep PIDs in there. Didn't get the chance to test them, will tomorrow, but they are there.

You might want to consider looking at transmission coolers? Might not work for your exact model but it might be worth checking out to see - I know Reese Hitches has a pretty nice selection.
