6 speed auto strength??
 

Does anyone know any information of the strength of the 6 speed auto? I havent found any torque limits or any problem with broken units either. Im wondering how it will respond with some Nitto 245/45 Drag Radials? I think Im really in uncharted waters here, but this would be an awesome sleeper to get into the low 13s high 12s and Im needing to know what the power limits are for the parts. I know some people doubt it, but I honestly think the 3.5 can generate enough power to run those speeds with the appropriate mods.

The safest range would be about 350 to 375 to the wheel. Any more than that and the axles will most likely snap. I would not recommend using drag radials because that would cause quicker wear on the tranny at the track. I would not doubt that our engines can hold up to 450 to the crank with the right internals and externals.

I would port and polish the intake manifold. Port out the throttle body. Bore the heads .2 liters higher to 3.7. Install custom forged pistons, crank, and rods. Any thing internal would obviously need some adjustments. Larger fuel rail and injectors could possibly be used from the hemi. A larger fuel pump would need to be installed. With all of this stuff listed you would need the air to fuel ratio stabilized at the current oem set point to keep the engine from detonating. All of the external engine parts are a gimme to your likings.

If the tranny can hold 375whp, then a simple STS turbo install without all the internal engine parts is the way to go. 8psi, a tune, and away we go!
