93 Srbring (should I fix/kep it?)

Hey all. My name is Keith and i have never owned a Chrysler (although i do drive a dodge van) and know "nothing" about them! Here is the story. My son (33 years old) purchased a non running 93 sebring LX! (2.7 I think) which he then checked compression (it was good) as well as replacing the dist/coil pack at which time it started. He drove (ran great) it and filled the tank pulled in my drive, ran nice for a few minutes and then DIED! Started fine the next day and after a few min it stalled. He repeated this process over the netx few weeks and just gave up! Fuel filter, pressure/pump good, Again, comp good. He just gave up on it (he is a mechLOL). I can have the car for nothing and since my other son does body/paint,the cosmetic part is no prob. Is this cay worth persuing? Any ideas what could be the problem? Any caveats with this car ie. front end, trans ect? Btw, it has 125,000 miles. Very nice car. Should I, or shouldn't I? Any tips appreaciated. Thanks for your time.

Keith BTW, exelent BB you folkshave here!
