96 JXi 2.5L Oil Pan

Need to replace an Oil Pan seal or gasket. It is leaking. Is it actually necessary to remove the engine support module to remove the oil pan. Some repair manuals mention that "it maybe necessary" .

Not all Chryslers have one, but if you have one, it'll almost certainly be necessary to remove it to get the oil pan out. It's a fairly substantial piece that connects the front and rear engine mounts and passes directly under the engine. If you can figure out a way to get the pan out around it, come back and let everybody know. You might be able to disconnect one end and swing it down enough. Take some pix and report back.
