99 2.5 water pump inlet tube

99 2.5 water pump inlet tube is leaking. can I take just the drivers side items off to change it? (Including the intake of course) Or do I have to remove the water pump as well?

No one knows the answer to this question? Somebody here has changed a inlet tube before. HELP!

Doing this repair right now.
In short, yes you can leave the water pump in. You have to take the Thermostat/Coolant filler housing. Just remember, if you are leaking out of the water pipe inlet on one side, chances are its bad on the ither side and may require the kind of attention that requires the water pump and timing assembly...

Ny repair started off as a simple timinfg belt replacement, and here I am.
