Back passenger's window not working

Hey guys! I'm new to the forum but I'm sure I'll be one a lot since this if for my sons car. He has an 04 Sebring and the back passenger's window is not going down. Where should I start looking for the problem, the controller by the driver or the part in the back door? The window doesn't work from either the front or back button so I'm guessing there's a part in the door that's bad but I'm not sure. Any help or advice would be great. Thanks for your help and I look forward to being on the forum more.

hold the switch down and bang on the door a few times see if the motor will loosen up

No luck. I can hear the motor trying to lower and raise the window but it's not budging. Is my next step to pull the panel off and grease something in there? Thanks for the quick response!

Thanks for the info. I'm guessing the coupe and convertible motors and regulators are different? Found some vert ones on ebay but don't want to get the wrong part. Thanks again.

Coupes were built by Mitsubishi. There are practically no common parts with the sedan or convertible. Get a part from the same model as yours.

That's what I figured. Thanks for the info!

This is a VERY COMMON issue with Sebring Convertibles. Most of the time, the problem is the cable getting caught in the gear housing that is connected to the window motor below the window. Don't bother replacing the motor, as they DO NOT come with this gear module. The gear module comes with the window/motor BRACKET assembly. This is a $300 to $500 dealer item, of course! Go to a junk yard and buy a bracket or have a guy pull the motor/gear off for you. I bought the whole bracket, motor, and gear assembly for only $75 from a jung yard.
