Which car, year, engine?
Usually, with Chrysler, Bank 2 is closer to the radiator. Bank 1 is the bank with cylinder 1 in it. Cylinder 1 is the cylinder closest to the "front" of the engine. The "front" of the engine is the end of the engine farthest from the transmission. The transmission is considered to be at the "back" of the engine. That nomenclature dates from the time that engines were mounted with the crankshaft running fore-and-aft in the car and had rear wheel drive.

Sorry for the long answer and the history lesson, but if you know where cylinder #1 is, you can find "bank 1" on any car. Other manufacturers build their engines differently, but cylinder number 1 is always closest to the "front" of the engine as defined above.
