Convertible Boot Question?

Can the convertible boot be used for highway driving? I was a little scared to drive on the highway with it on since it's only secured with velcro and pressure and I felt it might catch wind a fly off. I am what you might call a little paranoid (trusting challenged in todays world) when it comes to stuff flying off on the highway. Many years ago I had a hood unlatch at 70 mph and it wasn't pretty for me or the Semi that caught it in his radiator! Thanks for any help or advice.

RE: Convertible Boot Question?

no the boot will not fly off cause i have tested it cause i never use it. it really comes down to personal preference. i feel that your better off with out it cause in case it starts to ran you can get the top up faster with out it than you can with it cause youve got to actually get out of the car to take it off.

RE: Convertible Boot Question?

I have used mine up to 90 mph and it is just fine. I understand not wanting to put it on in case it rains but if you can you will want to use it as much as possible because without it not only does the inside of the top get real dirty you also run the risk of more dirt getting into the mechanical part of the top and it could slowly cause it to work poorly.
