Damper fork touble

Hi I'm changing over my stuts and the damper fork is giving me trouble.
The bolt to the lower control arm will not budge. I backed off the nut to the end of the bolt and wacked it with a hammer but it did not move. Any suggestions ? ps I did not remove the stablizer but does that matter ? the bolt should have moved should'nt it ? Thanks:(

What kind of car are we talking about here? I assume it's a Sebring, but what year and model? Coupe? Sedan/convertible?

Hi, It's a 98 sebring conv. jx The bottom bolt to the damper for (clevis bracket) The bolt seem to be frozen in. I hit it pretty hard a couple of time but it did not budge. Would heat work you think ? Thanks

Be careful with the heat. There's a bushing there you don't want to ruin if you can help it. I believe that bolt has a serrated shoulder to prevent it from turning. Those serrations have a lot of surface area that has probably gotten corroded over the past 13 years. You might want to try some PB Blaster and ATF in there, then get a bigger hammer. You'll probably need to replace the bolt after all that beating on it.

I know there's no bushing. I have two spare clevis bracket s And they are just flanged bolts. Yup, maybe a bigger hammer (wich I have) Thanks
