RE: dash lights tac
Hi,I have a 97 JX conv. 6cyl.My tach and odometer worked sometimes.I found out with these cars there are 3 tiny blue resistors on the circuit board behind the dash cluster(thats all the gauges in your dashboard)have to be resoldred. In order to do this you have to take your dash cluster out of the car. Those resistors get hot and melt the solder connections. They have to be resoldered.I went on Yahoo and found instructions on how to fix it.Type in chrysler dash clusters on Yahoo and you should find it.By the way I fixed mine and it is working like new.Good luck.

RE: dash lights tac
yeah, he's right, but you need to use a high temp solder, and probably a 40 watt iron.. I know, it's hefty, but they'll never come off ever again. :)

RE: dash lights tac
This might sound dumb but I'll give it a shot in the dark any how... at Auto Zone, we carry a product called "Bulb Grease"... and it's pretty self explaning... just put the grease on the conection end, and the receiving end of the bulb, and conector, and it might help... but, like I said.. this was just a shot in the dark...
