Electrical short

I have a 2000 Chrysler Sebring LX, 2.5L and the ignition switch fuse keeps blowing. My wife was driving to work and the car just quit on her. I thought it was a bad battery cable and i cleaned it up and nothing happened. So i looked in the engine bay fuse compartment and saw the blown ignition fuse. Replaced it and it blew righ away. Had it towed to the shop and the mechanic put a fuse in it and it cranked right up. Got the car home and parked it and went to crank it the next morning and the fuse blew again. When it blows i loose dash lights and everything. But i noticed when you put the key in the ignition and turn it to run the dash lights come on and you you can tell something is drawing a lot of power because the lights start to dim and then the fuse blows. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to where i should start looking. Been to two mechanics and they can't find anything wrong. It always cranks at the shop and they can't find what's wrong unless they can duplicate it. Thanks in advance. The fuse it blows is the 30A ingnition switch fuse.

Well , i finally got around to checking the electrical short problem and i think i've traced it to the ETACS-ECU. I;ll be removing it on Sunday and see what the problem is or if i can find one if that is the problem. Has anyone ever removed one of these and if so is it difficult? Thanks.

9 times out of 10 computers are not the cause of shorts

Well' I finally foumd out tje cause of the electrical short. It was the ignition switch itself. Put the new one and she fired right up. Just to be on the safe side, i put the old one in to be sure it was the problem and the fuse blew right away. Thanks for the help.
