Fuel filter 98 Chrysler Sebring
I found out the hard way that the fuel filter doesn't say which way it's supposed to go in after removing the old fuel filter of course. I installed a new one, and the car runs now, but I'm not sure if it's installed the correct way. I read on the internet that the car will run installed right or wrong, but if wrong it will have 0% fuel filter working.
This is a pic of the fuel filter http://www.autozone.com/autozone/par...138940_1216_0_G6547 (part #).
Anyway, in the link mentioned above, is the plug on the right side for the intake (closer to the trunk) and the left plug for more front of the vehicle output? That is how I installed it. The Chilton's guidebook doesn't help much and this isn't the in the fuel filter variety, the fuel filter is located in front of the right back tire. I was able to this without raising the car.

I said that wrong, I installed it the other way (can't seem to edit post). In my image I attached is this the correct way or should I rotate the fuel filter? Appreciate any assistance.

Okee dokey.... so I went to O'reillys and asked, also bought one with the bracket just to make sure.
It was on backwards. That u-clip or whatever you call it is supposed to be the intake/closer to the trunk side.
