Fuel problem

Umm, yeah... I put $20 of gas in my car today, and it got me a 1/2 a tank... I drove out to work then school.. when in total one way is about 40 miles... by the time I got home... my Fuel Light was on... Total number of miles driven today... 82.7 So something just doesn't sound right with me only getting 165.4 miles to a FULL TANK OF GAS... What on god's green earth could be causing me to suck down so much gas??? I only drive about 70-73 mph on the freeways and I stay within the speek limits on the surface streets... I rarely ever have my AC on... WHATS THE DEAL NOW?!?!?[:'(]

it sounds to me like your car is in terrible need of a tune up...

RE: Fuel problem

It sounds like the problem here is that the super tubular octagonial complexive reverb sensor is going out which causes you car to eat gas, trees, and spontaneously combust..... It's totally normal...

But really,... you could have a leak, ummm,... maybe a busted fuel rail, could be running rich have you added a piggy back or anything to it? that could do it... but otherwise... I have to go with.... uh.. whoever posted before me... tune it up... actually, you have had more problems with that chrysler than my friend has had with his nova... buy a new one.. just trade it in and say it runs great or something... your car is broke.... I don't know a better way to put it...

RE: Fuel problem

here are some probable causes. Catalytic converter. other than removing it,remove oxygen sensor just ahead of cc . if theres any noticable diference the cc is clogged replace it. Pvc valve, locate on valve cover, Remove the vacuum hose put your finger over the hole and feel for vacuum. if none replace it. change your intake manifold oxygen sensor if not replaced in 50000. Pull a couple spark plugs and check to see if fouled with gs or oil or bridged or electrode worn away' see if any leaves or debri are blocking you air in take . you got too start some where.
