Gas milage

I am just wondering if there is something that I can do about the mileage of my sebring. Sense I have got the thing I have changed the plugs and air filter as well as regular oil changes and even though I am getting disappointing gas mileage. My last tank I only got 19mpg and that is with the 2.4 4 cylinder motor. this is only 4mpg more than my truck that has a 5.2l v8. The motor seems to run just fine and has never sense I have had it had any kind of engine code (10,000 miles) I am just wondering if there are anything that I might of overlooked or something on this car or do these really just get that bad of mileage. Thanks...

Lots of things affect gas mileage including (more than just about anything else), how you drive. We had a guy on here complaining about his mileage when it turned out he would leave the car idling in the driveway for 10 minutes before driving about a mile and a half to work every day. He wound up realizing that the problem was how he was using the car. He took it on a long highway trip and got 25 mpg.
Other problems bearing on gas mileage could be low tire pressure, two-foot driving (one foot on the brake, one on the gas), leaving the parking brake on, a dragging brake caliper, worn spark plugs, leaking gas tank, neighbor kids stealing gas, etc, etc.
