Headlight problem. 2008 Sebring

I have noticed in the last few weeks that my headlights occasionally have stayed on for hours. IT seems they came on by themselves or they did not "time out" after a certain time. The car is not equipped with the E.V.I.C. option. Any thoughts. Thanks again in advance. Ed.
