Heater Control Resistor

i have a 2001 chrysler sebring with the 3.7.

my heater control only works on high or "4"

i have no other settings. im told this is possibly the heater control resistor. where is this located? outside the header blowermotor, or under the hood or dash, i just dont know.

any input on what the problem could be please let me know.

thanks

It's an easy repair, if you browse this forum you can find some write-ups. Basically, you remove the sound panel below the glove box. Look for a place where a bunch of wires come out of the heater box under there and remove a couple of screws. The thing attached to the wires is the resistor. Unplug it, and get a replacement from the dealer or wherever. You will need to file the hole it came out of to get the new one in because they make them fatter now. Don't force it.
Like I said, it's an easy job, about a 1.5 on a scale of 0 to 10.

I agree. But I prefer it as "HOW is a mouse when it spins?".
