Can you tell if its coming from the front area or the solenoid pack?

Hello,

I had the same issue with my 01 Concorde (60K miles). I thought it was a tranny leak, but it turned out that two of the pan bolts (front corner driver's side) were slightly loose and the pan gasket had failed. So, I bought a filter/gasket kit from NAPA and changed out the fluid, filter and gasket. I was surprised at the specified bolt torque (19 ft-lbs). However, when removing, the existing bolts were very tight.Refill was about 5.75 qts.

Hmmmm. Could it be that somebody previously overtightened the pan bolts, stretching a couple of them (causing them to be "slightly loose" and crushing the gasket under the others?

There's a reason for specifying a certain tightness.
