Left turn signal Flashing fast
 

2004 Chrysler Sebring Sedan 2.4. Left turn signal flashing fast , Right turn signal flashing fine. Installed new bulbs front and rear on left side, same results. Striped ground wire on rear light socket and grounded and same results. Have had grounding issues with the old girl.

Ground wires should not be striped. Ground wires should be black. Are you sure that was a ground wire?

I think he meant stripped not striped.

There should be a proper terminal on the end of the wire. Stripping and winding around the screw doesn't make a reliable connection. Maybe that's the cause of his problem. It's likely that the computer (which controls everything) might read the lack of a ground as an open circuit, just like it would read a burned out bulb. Or perhaps he substituted LED bulbs for incandescent ones. They draw much less current and can cause the computer to be misled.

Yes I meant stripping. No LED light bulbs. Kinda figured it might be computer related. Having problems with windshield wipers also. One speed on delay and swipe twice instead once. Installed new multi function switch same results. Wipers quit working on me last fall. Ran a new ground wire from wiper motor and their working.

It's not "computer related". I did not mean to imply that the computer was malfunctioning. If you have a bad ground, the computer will see that as an open circuit. A burned out bulb is also an open circuit. The quick flashing is the computer doing its job. It's supposed to do than to tell you that a bulb is burned out. Re-check that ground where you stripped the wire. Clean the wire down to shiny bare metal, and install a proper terminal there. Clean the metal around the ground screw so the terminal will make a good connection. See if that solves the problem. While you're at it, check the resistance between the ground and the terminal in the bulb socket that is connected to the black wire. It should be very low, close to zero ohms.

Found problem. Bad ground on left front. Just run a new wire for ground off light socket. Had to make new ground for left headlight a few years ago.
