Default My 2010 2.4 sybring radio shuts off after running for a short time

Hi everyone I have been having issues with my 2010 Chrysler Sebring 2.4 l touring edition when I get in the car in the morning the radio seems to work fine but after driving for 15 minutes it shuts off and won't turn back on if I park the car and get back in it a couple hours later the radio will turn on but then repeats the steps of failure again I have tried everything from taking the radio out checking the factory harness I've even tried to unplug it and plug it back in and still have dead power until car is off for a while if you can please get back to me with any info you might have that would be greatly appreciated

You probably have a crack in a circuit board that is expanding and losing connectivity as it warms up. If you can find somebody that repairs radios, he may be able to trace it down and fix it, but nobody does that anymore. You are probably better off replacing the radio. You might be able to find an aftermarket substitution that appeals to you. Radios now have features like bluetooth connectivity with your smartphone that weren't around 13 years ago. If you prefer the look and operation of the OEM model, then you'll need to get one from a junkyard or find one on line from someplace like eBay. If your model requires an anti-theft code, then make sure you buy from a reputable source for the used version and get the VIN of the vehicle it came out of as you may need that to get a code from a dealer. Good luck. .

If replacing with an OEM radio, note that your vehicle has the low-speed CAN-bus so it is important to know the vehicle the radio came out of. There is no identifier on the radio to note low/high speed CAN bus. The part number will be different though.
