Default need help with rear struts

I have a 2004 Sebring Convertible GTC..I believe the rear struts need replacing however I cant locate the upper mount...I located a few youtube videos but they all say the strut plate is in the trunk....its not..So I am guessing it is located behind the back seat? Any help would be appreciated!!

You can access it by moving aside the fabric that forms the area where the top folds down behind the back seat. As I recall, you need to remove a couple of screws that hold a molding in place, then you can push the fabric aside and get to the fasteners that hold the strut. It's pretty dark back there so bring a good light.

I bought quick struts that include new springs. This eliminates the necessity of compressing the spring and replacing the spring seats.

When installing the new struts, you'll probably find that they don't want to go in easily. You'll need to use a couple of screwdrivers to simultaneously compress the strut a little bit and lever it in to place.
