no start, no radio, half dash lights.

I have a 2004 sebring convertable with 2.7 v6. Last night was bad rain and window was down, so interior got wet.

Car started and I went to work. This morning, No spark. like dead battery. but battery is fine. Headlights work, some dash lights work, power windows work, no radio, no gages, and steering wheel wont lock.

when you turn ignition you really dont hear starter click but do hear a small clicking noise.

fuses seem ok. Brother changed out ignition switch but nothing.

Any ideas?

Your best bet is going to be to get a couple of box fans and leave them to run for a day or two blowing under the seats/dash. I don't know about the specifically about the Sebring, but there are usually modules and stuff under the seats that don't like water.

If the fans don't help, you might be out of luck.

Im perplexed tho as to why the steering colum wont lock. but car is dry, and i even got my other key to see if perhaps something with anti theft.

Check entire starter circuit at all connections for corrosion. Faint click of the starter may be a clue. Also check operation of the starter relay.

fix car.

Well it turned out to be a blown fuse 20 amp for alternator.. but a few weeks later the same thing happened again this time it was the 20 amp starter fuse so i think i will track down starter wiring see if there is a short.

have a new code showing on diagnostic...p0128 wonder if they are related.

Not likely related:

OBD-II Trouble Code: P0128 Coolant Thermostat (Coolant Temperature Below Thermostat Regulating Temperature)
