2001 chrysler sebring. it has the 2.7 v6 in it. it would be my 2nd vehicle for commuting . car is a great price with decent km but it warns of slight engine noise.

ive heard that these engine chrysler had issues with getting oil to the top of the engine, true?

should i stay away from this?

I would advise to stay away from buying chrysler, i have a 2004 sebring and am having nothing but problems with it, if you look at all the problems posted on the chrysler forum, then you would be better off getting a foreign made car, which is what i am going to do after my lease is up in this car.

Chrysler Tech has a good point. Always maintain your junk.Follow their recommendations for maint. schedules, and what type/weight for your fluids. However, ebay is littered with vehicles of that vintage and that motor, all needing a new motor. The Sebring is an excellentcar for what it is. I'd recommend finding one with the 2.4l engine. I would avoid any vehicle with a "slight" engine noise.

i highly recommend staying away from the 2.7. we were always getting calls for people looking to get a new 2.7. they are in my opinion junk motors. hasnt been one that ive seen yet without oil out the pipe. look for a 3.0 if you want the 6 cylinder.
