Default P1698

I have a check engine light on and autozone read the code and it came back P1698. I reset the light and it came back on, so it appears to be real. I have not noticed any degradation in performance at all. All instruments work as they should, and there is no transmission issues at all. Does any one know what this code refers to? It's a 1998 Sebring 2.5L coupe.

P1698: "No CCD message from transaxle to computer (check harness)."

That's what my scanner book says. Not sure what it means either.
