Parasitic Battery Drain
 
Hi, we have a problem with a 2010 Sebring 2.7 Ltd. Cabrio. There is a 19 amp drain showing with ignition off and key removed. Every fuse and relay has been removed in turn and the drain remains there. The positive battery lead is very hot to touch and the fuse box feels warm. All electrical items are working. This problem came on suddenly and will drain a new battery within 3 hours. At 19 amps and yes it is amps and not m.amps, the car should be a flaming wreck by now. Anyone got any ideas?

You've got a major short. Nobody here can find it for you. You're going to need to trace it down. Look for damaged/burned wire. At that level of currnt draw, you might be able to smell it. I believe that car has a TIPM (totally integrated power module). If the problem is there, start saving your money. It is not a cheap repair.

I would immediately get to a Chrysler dealer to get this resolved. Not even worth trying to do yourself as this is very dangerous based on the conditions you've listed.
Best of luck, the key here is getting this resolved before any additional damage is caused to any of the modules.
