Default Power Steering

I have a 2008 Sebring Sedan. While driving there is a whining sound when you let off the accelerator. Does even when in park. It sounds like it is the power steering pump. I replaced the pump with a reman one from Checker. Still makes the same sound. Any ideas? My wife is getting emotional!!!

Invest in a mechanic's stethoscope and use it to find the source of the whine. It's much cheaper than throwing expensive parts at the car or psychotherapy sessions for the wife.

I'll give it a shot. Thanks for the reply.
