Red Lightning Bolt - electronic throttle control system (ETC)

I just had this issue the "red lighting bolt" or ETC light came on my car (2007 Chrysler Sebring 2.4l) it went into limp mode so it wouldn't go over 25 miles per hour, the dealership wanted $1100 I found the throttle body on Amazon for $50 (not $500 as the dealership wanted) and it took me less than an hour.

The "hardest" / most unclear part was the computer "relearn" procedure, I read a few different options, the easiest was to use a high end scanner but I didn't have one the others were a sequence of turning the ignition to on pressing the gas pedal once, 3 times, 5 times etc.... the other procedure was to reset the computer and run the car through a few (up to 6) hot and cold cycles. I'm not sure what worked because I tried a few of these for about 20 minutes and it "didn't work" but when I came back an hour later the car was fixed and it's been running great for the last 100+ miles.

Anyway I wanted to share this with the forum and perhaps someone here may want to shed some light on the throttle body relearn sequence?

there is not a self relearn procedure only a scanner will do this.
This scanner will work for this procedure

Looks like I found a way without the scanner?

Will this one do the same? I was trying to find one for a $100.

What do you think of that scanner?
