space between body and headlight assembly

I replaced my bulbs on my 2006 sebring convertible... I removed the two screws on each side and took the assembly out and then put them back in. Now, on the driver's side, there is a gap between the top of the headlight assembly and the body of the car... it is about 1/2" or maybe a little more. It may have been there before and I just didn't notice it, but it is not that way on the other side.

I took the screws back out and tried to move it so it would sit higher, but it doesn't seem to work.

Will water get in there while I'm drive and cause a problem? The battery is right behind there!

I wouldn't be worrying about water getting in there because it's not sealed in any case. Water is going to get in regardless. What I'd be worrying about is headlight aim. It could be that you have a very badly mis-aimed headlight on that side. There's information about aiming the headlights in the owners manual, which you can download from chrysler.com.
