Newbe ?'s here I have a 97 2.4 and has no spark where do I check to see if i have power to the coil (which wire actually) ? and where is the crank sensor? and how do you check it

sorry engine is a 2.5 v6 not a 2.4

follow the distributor main wire to the coil pack on the back of the engine... the distributor can be found hiding on the right side of the engine toward the back, connected to the head...
Crank sensor I believe is on the left where the main crank pulley is.. not sure on that though...

there is no coil pack(s) coil and dizzy are on unit
but I cant find power through any of the wires going to the dist. there is one plug w/5 wires and two I know are grounds other 3 are orange, yellow, and blue the other plug has only 1 wire and it is green w/ orange stripe
any one have a wire scematic or know a site that I can get one? or know which wire should have power? it is a conv. if that matters

at this point, it's safe to say you are going to be working on your car a lot now... I would go ahead and invest in the haynes manual for your car... I have one, but it doesn't cover your particular year.. I think they're only like $15... They have everything you'll ever need to know about your car...

if you dont have any signals comin from the cam or cran sensor your pcm will shut down feul and spark.
