stalling issue

I just drove up from the Cape this weekend, and I had some trouble with my otherwise reliable Sebring conv. 2.5l/auto. I hit a large puddle of water, and the vehicle died. I wasn't even doing 15mph. The odometer read "no bus" when I tried to start the vehicle up. It started again after five minutes, so I didn't hydrolock it. Any ideas? What should I be looking for?

That's what I figured. Any connectors sitting low on the car?

depends on how high the water went

RE: stalling issue

Just an update. It doesn't want to start, period. I was driving on dry roads, and it just died out. It would turn over, no start. I didn't smell any gas, despite it turning over and not starting. I would've thought that it would have flooded. So, we towed it to the dealer. I just don't have the time to mess with it. With any luck, it's just a bad connector or ground. Ihope it's something minor keeping it from running. Thanks for the input. I'll post what the dealership finds.

RE: stalling issue

The dealer just diagnosed it, and I feel stupid now. It was the cap and rotor assembly. It had spark, just not enough to get all six cylinders going. It was just worn out. It's been about 30k miles since I changed it, soo, normal wear and tear I guess. I'm spoiled by owning vehicles with the coil pack instead of a distributer. Odd that it didn't trip any computer codes. It could have been worse. Thanks for the input.

RE: stalling issue

not odd because the rotor and cap is secondary and not controled by anything. Just spark transfer
