Transmission Headaches, please advise!!

First post here so please bear with me. The car is a 99 Sebring LXI. Back history is that I've had no problems while residing in Fla, about a year after being in NM, suddenly I have a check engine light and the car shifting funny.

Looked up the codes myself but don't know enough about cars to know what the fix is. The codes and translations I found were as folows:

P1714 - SSA Inductive Signature Malfunction
P0700 - Transmission Control System Malfunction
P1768 - Performance /Normal / Winter Mode Input Malfunction

What I'm trying to figure out is what part(s) would cause these problems. If it's something fairly basic and external to the transmission that I can change myself? Or are we talking about the possibility of having to have the transmission rebuilt or replaced? Like most people my interest is in going the least expensive route possible, but if that means a crappy fix and the only way for a good fix is dishin out the dough...then so be it. Any ideas on what repairs should cost on average would be helpful or what parts to pick up and replace even better. Consider lying to me and telling me I don't have to replace my entire transmission if that's the case!!!

Thanks to all

and of course

PLEASE HELP!!!!
