Trunk Light

1997 Sebring Coupe. Ok. Looked and looked for the fuse that protects the trunk light circuit. Nothing is labeled, pulled/inspected most lighting or associated fuses and I went through the Autozone wiring diagrams to no avail. Does anyone know which circuit it is on? I replaced the bulb, checked the switch in the trunk latch mechanism, even disconnected the connector to that switch and crossed it manually. No light. No power. Being as though nothing else seems to be not working, I'm guessing I have a wire problem, but knowing which circuit to follow would be helpful.

RE: Trunk Light

The circuit for the trunk light, the way I read the wiring digrames in my Haynes manual, is a little weird. It seems that power is sent from the junction block through the light then to the switch in the latch and then to ground. The red/black wire to the bulb should be hot. The red/green should lead to the switch and then to ground when the trunk is open.

Hope that helps.

Thanks. I'll run it down under that assumption. A nice place to start.
