Question Used clockspring? 2010 Sebring

I have a 2010 Sebring hard top convertible. The air bag light is on and my mechanic says it's a clockspring issue.

Is this something I can pull off at a wrecking yard and swap out, or do I need to go with a new one? Is it a difficult job?

What is the diagnostic code being reported? There are a multitude of issues that could light the air bag lamp.

Does the cruise control on the right of the steering wheel still function as well as the remote radio buttons on the back of the steering wheel still function (oem radio only). These also run through the clockspring although use a separate set of wires.

My mechanic pulled the codes, so I don't have the actual code. He told me it was the clockspring. He did reset the code and it came right back.

Radio buttons and cruise control are still working fine.

Got my Vlinker and the code for the airbag light is B1B02 and it is active.

That tells me that either the clock spring is bad, or the airbag itself is faulty. Both *should* be easily obtainable and a pick 'n pull auto scrap yard. Hopefully the convertible clock spring is the same as the sedan or coupe clockspring.

Anything else it might be? Is it more likely to be the clockspring vs the air bag?
