passenger door latch problem 2010 sedan
The door wont open on the passenger side front. The inner or outer handle won't operate the door. To take door panel off I need to open the door first, any ideas how to do this? The lock pops up when inner handle is pulled and outer handle seems to be moving linkage but nothing happens.

Resolution of the problem: Not pretty, but got door open. Rolled down window, removed window weather stripping by brute force, wedged glass to outside of the door. Then took long screw driver and carefully broke plastic latch assy apart until door popped open. Not for the faint of heart.

-My '10 Sebring is parked outside year round. Even a couple days ago here it was -11* with a windchill of -31*. My doors opened just fine, except for a small tug to get the rubber seal to break free. Never ran into that problem.

It isn't merely cold weather that freezes doors shut. It's a combination of wet weather (or a car wash) followed by a fast freeze. One approach is a pan of hot water poured around the edge of the door. You can also (carefully but forcefully) press in around the edges of the door to flex the weatherstrip and crack the ice.
