Had the same problem on my '01. Diagnosed fuse to be blown. Bought a 20 amp 32 Vdc Cooper Bossman fuse from AutoZone for about $4.50. Replaced. Checked outlet. Working fine. Done.

Dude....Im not trying to be an ARSE....But 4.50 for a Fuse?????

FRED'S fuses work just as well, and if you have a bucket...the local Junkyard throws them away......If not and the guy wants to be a Jack-ass....flip a Quarter at him for as many as you can fit in your pocket....

A 20A fuse is a 20 A fuse.....There is NOTHING special about two different bands, or different metals or designs.....If the circuit overloads, it breaks current flow.....Thats all it was intended to do...... And it must be done,,,,If you develop an overload, you WANT the fuse to pop, and protect your car from burning to the ground....Not sit there and look pretty "WAITING TO POP"... ALL Blown Fuses are the same....Blown...ANd the Melted ones are even closer...Plastic Globs.

I'm with ya, this is overpriced... but several places I went to, incl. my shop that confirmed the fuse went, didn't even have this fuse... so instead of wasting gas going all over... Hopefully, this one last and there is not a fundamental electrical problem.

Which fuse is it?

Starzz,

can you tell me which fuse it is? Neither fuse panel seems to label it.

Thanks,

Blue fuse did not solve mine

replace the blue fuse under the hood, neither power outlet working (one below dash and second in center counsel) Any other ideas please. Thanks

Ligths in center counsel by shifter

On my center counsel there are small glass / plastic buttons representing the status of the gearbox shifter I.E. P, R, N, D, 3,1. Should these light up when I turn on my lights. And is so, are they part of the same fuse as the power outlets controlled by the blue fuse. Thanks :)
