Where is the cabin filter.
 

Can anyone help me with the location of the cabin filter and how do I replace it. I am getting a very nasty smell when the blower is on.[X(]

1. Your owners manual would be the 1st place to look.
2. Ya know it might be very helpful to put down what type of vehicle and yearas well.

Depending on what it smells like, if it’s a musty smell. It may be Mold.

MOLD is common issueand that's a tough nut to crack. Make sure your a/c drain is open, so when you run your a/c you see water run out under your car. If it's plugged or even partially plugged too much water can sit in the a/c plenum and may cause mold to grow on the evaporator coil (or you can call it a heat exchanger)
I had a quote on a Chrysler mini van 1000 to take it apart and clean it out without any guarantee that it will not come back again.

Thanks john, I knew i'd forget something. The car is a 2006 Chrysler Sebring touring convertable with the V-6 engine. Great vehicle to drive and not really any Major issues to speak about right now. Just that darn smell.

There are kits you can buy at parts stores with spray cans with long nozzles. They contain a disinfectant. You could try one of those. I had some success several years ago just pouring some bleach into the cowl in front of the windshield. Best time to do that is when the car can sit for a while, preferably out of the wind and rain. The chlorine from the bleach evaporates and permeates the space down there and will kill off susceptible bugs. Use fresh bleach (it loses chlorine over time).
