windshield wiper sprayer 99 sebring convertable
 

Hi all,
The left windshield wiper sprayer mechanism is not spraying so much as oozing out the wiper fluid. The right one works just fine. I was curious what the fix would be for this. Is it a new nozzle that I need, or is there a way to clean the old one? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks again.

It's probably a clogged or disconnected/leaking line. Look at the lines under the hood for signs of damage. Both with and without the sprayers on. If there is a small enough pinhole in the line to the non-working sprayer, there may be enough residual pressure to cause the other one to work. If it's clogged, a very, very fine "poker" may be enough to get it going.

I've used a 'sewing' needle on my Neon to clean and align the spray pattern. I was going to try it on my '99 vert but the passenger side sprayer have been messed with beyond repair from the last owner! It is going to need replacing.

I've got 2 new sprayers on order form the dealer now.

Received my new sprayers today from the dealer. Took barley a 1/2 hour to install and man what a difference its like having a new car with these new nozzles. New price that I've just paid is $39.14 for the pair with part number 288364AG.

All that I had to do was pop several 'christmas-tree' fasteners from the bottom of the hood insulation and squeeze the old ones on the sides and push through the hood. After of course breaking the end out where the hose line attached. They were so brittle the ends just broke off.

Glad that I'd bought new, vise trying to dork around with the ones from the JY.

Just pinched the hose a couple times to crush the remains of the broken up plastic ****** fitting in the connecting end to the nozzles. And tapped out the plastic dust. Reassembled and now good to go.

I know its a bit expensive to go new. But looking at it from my perspective, I won't have to mess with these again for years to come much less anymore this winter when its not going to be fun getting out to do anything.
